Close to New Mexico it's an easy drive to Santa Fe and Taos. the Great Sand Dunes and Wolf Creek Pass ski area are to the west. On the eastern plains one can find dinosaur tracks and petroglyphs. Lathrop State park, just outside of town, has boating and fishing.
As the Director, this is a unique opportunity to lead the library on its current course of growth and expansion, bring new innovative ideas forward and implement positive change. The Director would be able to build and grow existing programs, develop new outreach initiatives, seek ways to engage the community while working with many other community groups. If you are the kind of person that thinks outside the box, likes challenges and to watch projects flourish with you assistance and guidance, while being mindful of your community, this is YOUR place.
