As a member of the Resource Acquisitions and Sharing (RAS) department, the Library Technician 3 (LT3) is responsible for responding to patrons’ purchase requests and licensing questions, and working with vendors to acquire library resources in various formats (i.e., print and electronic books, streaming videos, and other media) in a timely basis. They are responsible for placing orders using various vendor platforms, paying for and reconciling accounts, claiming orders, and addressing system problems with the appropriate company or department.
